  1. Way to go Molly! One of my most cherished cookbooks is from my husband's grandmother - who died many years ago. It is a booklet really ... 101 Ways to a Man's Heart. Inside she has taped other little favorite clippings and made notes. Blatter spattered indeed!

  2. Wow, I'm very happy with your new site! I love vintage cookbooks! Do you have a Fannie Farmer cookbook? She was from the town I live in now and her old copies are ALL OVER THE PLACE...let me know if you do/don't have one.

Wow, beef aspic....did that make an appearance at the party you had with the brown chip/dip bowl? It would have fit right in!

  3. This looks like such a great project - I am looking forward to reading more. I have a couple of vintages - I wouldn't give them up for the world.

  4. What a great idea! Forty years ago, the definitive Malaysian cookbook was by one Elise Handy. My mum learned to cook from her, and my husband's mother (who was Welsh) learned to cook Malaysian food from that book. I've inherited her copy. She's carefully noted down recipes she's also learned from her mother-in-law in the village. I haven't cooked from it, but I love handling that piece of history.
